Brief outline of training
In alignment with AS 4233.1-2013 Section 7.4, High Pressure Water Jetting (HPWJ) operators and assistants must complete refresher training or competency verification at intervals not exceeding two years.
The HPWJ Refresher course assesses participants against the units MSMWJ304 and MSMWJ202, using a gap analysis to identify areas requiring review. The training then focuses on these gaps, as well as any updates to legislation, standards, or safe work practices, before a practical assessment is conducted to confirm ongoing competency and re-certification. While refresher training is mandatory, the original units remain valid unless significantly revised.
