How to Use the Rioned ECity Jet Drain Cleaning Jetter
Follow the controls and operating sequence explained in SECA’s Rioned ECity Jet demonstration, from powering up the battery and remote to using the reel controls and shutting down.
Watch the operating demonstration
Watch the video before starting and use the guide below as a written reference.
- 1
Power on the battery
Press the green power button on the battery pack. The indicator flashes as the battery powers up. Allow startup to complete before continuing.
- 2
Power on the remote control
Check that it is safe to reset the emergency stop. Resolve the cause of any activation first. Release the twist emergency stop, press the green power button and check the green indicator.
- 3
Release and position the hose reel
Use the demonstrated green reel-release control. Bring the reel out, swivel it towards the working area and check that it locks securely. Keep hands clear of moving parts.
- 4
Select remote control mode
Use the machine’s key selector to select remote operation. Follow the labels and manufacturer’s instructions for your unit, and allow the remote connection to establish.
- 5
Start the machine
Press and hold the remote control identified in the video as “engine on”. Confirm the machine starts and responds. Check the control labels on your particular unit.
- 6
Position the hose using the reel controls
Use reel out and reel in to position the hose, and the dial to adjust reel speed. Fit the correct nozzle and safely position the hose according to the manufacturer’s procedure before pressurising.
- 7
Use the water and pressure controls
Once the equipment is prepared and the nozzle is safely positioned, use water on. The presenter demonstrates revs up to increase pressure. Use settings suitable for your machine, hose, nozzle and application.
- 8
Finish cleaning and retrieve the hose
Reduce machine speed with revs down, then switch the water off. Follow the manufacturer’s safe retrieval and residual-pressure release procedure. Water off does not mean all pressure has been released. Retrieve and secure the hose under control.
- 9
Shut down and secure the equipment
Use the control identified as engine off, then turn the key selector off. Complete the manufacturer’s remaining remote, battery and storage checks. Secure the reel in its transport position, along with the hose, nozzle and accessories.
