Cherne Test Pumps

Test Pumps, Clog-Buster & Manometer: specs, parts & uses

Need a reliable way to pressure-test lines, clear stubborn drain blockages, or measure water column on site? Below you’ll find a quick explanation of each tool in the SECA range, followed by precise specs and part numbers to help you choose the right option for the job.

What does each SECA test pump do, and who is it for?

SECA test pumps are built for fast, manual pressure testing of lines and systems. Each model differs by construction, gauge configuration, hose/base design and weight—so you can match the tool to usage frequency and site conditions.

What is the Air-Max® Pro HV Test Pump (Part #273968) used for?

The Air-Max® Pro HV suits frequent testing where durability and fewer strokes per inflation matter. The pump has a larger barrel diameter to reduce strokes, a contoured solid wood handle, and forged steel construction for extra toughness. A gauge with moulded rubber cover, a traditional metal thumb lock, and a 3-foot hose with strain relief complete the build. Product weight: 6.25 lb (2.83 kg).

When should I choose the Air Max® Test Pump (Part #273958)?

Choose the Air Max® when you want a tough, compact pump with strong footing. The gauge is raised from the base for protection, the barrel is durable steel, the textured steel base prevents slipping, and the hose is durable and no-kink. Product weight: 3.6 lb (1.36 kg).

When is the Econ-O-Pump™ (Part #273888) the right option?

Pick Econ-O-Pump™ for simple, occasional tests where a light, traditional design is enough. It features a traditional thumb lock, a 140 PSI high-pressure gauge with protective cover, all-steel construction with cast iron base, and approx. 1 lb (0.45 kg) product weight.

How does the Clog-Buster drain flusher work and which size fits my pipe?

The Clog-Buster unclogs drain pipes in seconds by using controlled water pressure—no chemicals required. To use it, remove the aerator from the faucet and attach the faucet adapter or attach to a standard garden hose, insert the Clog-Buster as far as possible into the drain, then slowly turn on the cold water until pressure builds and the clog dislodges almost immediately.
